Upcoming Inclusive Business Lunch: Implications of the Indian microfinance sector crisis on social entrepreneurship
Martin Vogelsang, program coordinator of FemS3, will lead a discussion on the effects of the microfinance sector crisis in India and ask: Is this an indication of insurmountable contradictions in the idea of social entrepreneurship or a salutary shock that will ensure necessary conditions?
FemS3 is an Indian Section 25 company based in Bangalore, India. Along with their partner, Fem Italia Onlus, FemS3 is responsible for the development and implementation of several pilot projects within the program “Market-based Solutions for the Working Poor”, focusing on the areas of water supply, housing, health, waste disposal, basic supplies of food, and organic farming.
This inclusive business lunch takes place at Endeva (Brunnenstr. 192, Berlin), on 20 May, 2011, from 12 - 2pm.
