re:publica is one of the largest and most exciting conferences about digital culture in the world. As Endeva is exploring the question of how tech and digital solutions can be used to make businesses more inclusive, we were enthusiastic about exploring the sessions – especially those from our partners at the Global Innovation Gathering (GIG). GIG is a sub-conference developed by re:publica that brings together innovation hub managers, makers, hackers and entrepreneurs from across the world.
As Endeva is preparing its ii2030 in October, we were thrilled to join discussions with GIG such as how innovative mHealth solutions can create regional and global synergies for better pregnancy and giving birth related care around the globe. In order to avoid repetition of solutions, we need to focus on the 4 C’s: communication, collaboration, coordination and continuity of care (i.e. how can technology be used along the continuum from when a woman becomes pregnant until 5 years post-natal?). The main point of this session was to discover how best to link people in mHealth from all over the world to improve coordination of innovations and solutions: While there is a massive amount of health data, it’s not used on a global scale yet and there is a lack of interoperability – there are too many “island solutions”. We want to continue this discussion and explore tech solutions to improve diagnosis and treatement of diseases – stay tuned for more information of our ii2030!
