A microcredit group in India meets to collect installments. Instead of requiring for collateral, banks often build on groups that bear collective responsibility. But when the women come together, they do not only share the repsonsibility to pay back the loan. Often, they also exchange their experiences with managing their financial resources and being empowered - and not rarely also their microenterprise ideas.
Our events bring experts from different backgrounds together: academics and practitioners, business executives and the target group, business executives from developing and industrialized countries.
By exchanging ideas and experiences, participants can learn from each other and enhance the existing knowledge pool. What is more, participants discover areas for collaboration and find ways to be more effective through coordination.
